Wondering why rec.juggling failed so soon after IJDB shut down… rec. is of course still accessible to this day, but of course I also never go there anymore. Partly because the discussion has died, maybe its a chicken and the egg scenario- there's no discussion so I don't go there so there is no discussion, etc.
But then with JugglingRock I also don't feel compelled to post anything beyond once sentence. Perhaps its the disposable environment of Facebook in general… today I ate a cheeseburger, and a few hours later here's a photo of my cat. Did JugglingRock become the largest online community just because Facebook is so ubiquitous in our lives at this point? Are there larger communities than JugglingRock… perhaps Spanish or Italian or French speaking forums?
I'm grateful for the content JugglingRock provides, but am kind of afraid of anything that suggests "Let's get Rock together."
